Notes: He also went into the family trade of wheelwright and took over the family business when his father died in 1880. He was still operating the family business at Danehill in 1901 but it eventually closed due to the downturn in business with the advent of the motor car and pneumatic tyres. He married Elizabeth Newell from Maidenhead Berks in the Dec Qtr 1878 at Lambeth. His family detail is not included on the chart due to insufficient space. They were Gertrude Rose E b. Sep Qtr 1882 who was an elementary school teacher in 1901, Ethel Flora b. Mar Qtr 1886, Edward James b. Dec Qtr 1890, Winifred May b. Jun Qtr 1893 and Bessie Louisa b. Mar Qtr 1895.
