Notes: James Nimrod was the youngest of James and Isabella’s children and was baptised at the “Church in the Wood” on 1 Sep 1878. From census records, in 1881 he is shown at Clifton Villa with his parents and in 1891 and 1901 with his grandfather at Rock Cottage. In 1901 he is single aged 22 and his occupation is shown as a carpenter. A local researcher has found a baptism in the Hollington register on 10 Dec 1905 for James Frederick the son of James Nimrod Langridge, carpenter, and Catherine Louise Langridge. I have now established that James and Catherine Louise Foster were married at Hollington in the Jun Qtr of 1902. Church in the Wood burial records show an infant Luke L born 13 Jan 1905 who died on 4 Feb 1905 but I have been unable to ascertain his parentage. Battle district records show the births of Marion Hetty L in the Sep Qtr of 1903, and Catherine Florence L and Winifred Mary L in the Sep Qtr of 1908. I am endeavouring to confirm whether these are all family of James and Catherine.
