(Prerogative Court of Canterbury - Will - 13 Irby)“To Estmond Stickland my eldest son all such monies and goods enclosed in a chest appropriated to his use of which chest he has the key in his own custody.“To my three younger sons William, John and Robert all such monies and goods which are in a trunk and two boxes to be appropriated to their several uses of which said trunks and boxes I have given their Grandmother” (not named) “ the keys.“To my two daughters Elizabeth and Anne such monies as are intrunks and boxes appropriated to each of their respective uses of which each have respective keys.“To my youngest son Robert Stickland all my copy hold messe.lands and tenements in Fant aforesaid for ever.“My messuages, etc. called Lightlands lying in Fant (belonging to me after my mother’s decease)” (not named) “and all monie slying in the Chamber in the city of London be sold by my executors and said Executors to pay off mortgage on my copy hold lands given to my said son Robert Stickland as aforesaid.“ The rest of my goods to my four children William, John, Elizabeth and Anne equally and if any of them die under age of 21 years - then amongst the survivors etc.“My two brothers John Barham of Wadhurst co: Sussex, Gent.
