In 1881 (census) Ann ie is 2yrs old and living in at the School House in Sedlescombe, Kent whe re her father is school Master, she is living with her parents & Servan t. In 1891 (census) Annie (now known as Ethel) is 13yrs old she is livi ng in Ditchlingham, Norfolk with her Mother & Sister, they are all livi ng in the school House as their mother is School Mistress, also living wi th them is a Pupil Teacher. Ethel & her sister Maud left England for Sou th Africa about 1901 as their mother Still appears in the Census but remar ried & without her Daughters. Ethel is know to have married a South Afric an & remained there whilst her sister returned to England.
