Notes: Rachel Sarah Herring was born in Little Stanmore, Middlesex, in 1841 she w as the youngest child of Wiiliam & Elizabeth Herring. In 1851 Rachel (list ed as Sarah) is 9yrs old and attending school, she is living at Manor Hous e, Clapham with parents, Siblings & 20yr old Servant Jane White. In 1861 s till living in Clapham with parents, Neice, Servant & Elderly Lodger. S he seems to be missing from the 1871 census but Married Gordon Llewell yn on 17th October 1871at Holy Trinity, Clapham, Surrey. In 1881(census) R achel is 34yrs old and living with her husband & two sons, the family a re living in Yeovil, Somerset where Rachel's husband is a Religious Minist er. Also living at the Family Home are Jane Gillingham (30) Domestic Serva nt & Ellen Ostler (16) who is the Nursemaid. Rachel Disapears from the 18 91 Census but reappears in 1901 (census), she is 59yrs old and livi ng at St Matthew's Vicarage, Salmon Lane, Ratcliffe, London, her husba nd is the local Vicar. She is living with her husband, younger Son (w ho is following in his father's footsteps) & 49yr old Abigal Hampton the ir Servant.
