Notes: Frank Felix George Herring was born in Chatham, Kent in 1859 his parents w ere William & Elizabeth Herring. In 1861 (census) Frank is 2yrs old and li ving with his parents & siblings at the Royal Marines Officers Barracks, T he Royal Dockyard in Chatham, Kent. In 1871 (census) Frank is now 12yrs o ld and is attending the Hosptial school, Greenwich, London. This was a Nav al Acadeny for young boys, his older brother William is also in Attendanc e. He does not appear in the 1881 census so may have spent sometime at Se a, Franks's son was also born that year. In 1891 (census) William is ag ed 35yrs he is living at Brook St Post office in Erith, Kent where he is t he post master. also living there is his wife, son & Sister. In 1901 ag ed 42yrs living in the Bungalow, Ardleigh, Essex with his wife, he is n ow a Confectionary Agent.
